Water scarcity becoming horrible in Pakistan

Water scarcity becoming horrible in Pakistan

Pakistan is approaching the water scarcity threshold.
Water scarcity has emerged as a pressing issue in Pakistan. Reached a point of utter distress and dire consequences. The country, once blessed with abundant water resources, is now grappling with a terrifying water crisis.

It poses significant challenges to its population, economy, and environment. The severity of this crisis demands immediate attention and concerted efforts from all stakeholders.

Try to alleviate the suffering of millions and secure a sustainable water future for Pakistan.

Water scarcity is becoming horrible in Pakistan. The Hour of Judgment has to come. Those who will take steps wisely, and quickly in time will only survive on this planet.

Those who show negligence will be wiped out just dust. Tyrant, cruel, shameless and oppressive rulers have already planned and implemented to deprive a drop of water.

A basic human needs drinking water, now turning into an international commodity like petrol. To read more about water scarcity, see post "Water Scarcity. The trumpet of high alert has sounded" in this world.

Pakistan is approaching the water scarcity threshold. It is more disturbing that groundwater supplies and resorts of water supply are being rapidly depleted.

Experts say that the increase in population growth, urbanization, climate change, poor water management and lack of political will are the main causes behind the water scarcity in Pakistan.

It looks like the stock exchanges have started the advance purchase of water. It is quite possible that in the days to come, one of your dearest rulers, through China cutting, will sell his country's share of water to another country, years ago.

The water tanker mafia will now be seen as a noble group because Global money lenders have now decided to commercialize water.

Why have all major donors, including the World Bank, stopped funding large dams in developing countries?

Whereas developed countries have already built dams in all possible locations of rivers. Water is the oil of this century and the dams that store water are its oil refineries.

Estimate the cost of water that our irrigation department is paid at least Rs.10 million annually by the industrial companies for using only one cusec of water.

In our country, which has the largest canal system in the world, even in the smallest canal, one hundred and fifty cusecs (worth one hundred and fifty crore rupees) of water flow for eleven months of the year.

FUTURE SCENARIO

  • The situation is getting more and more critical beyond our imaginations. The image below depicts a small scene of a future water scarcity situation.

  • The possible scenario for the future seems to be that the water of a village in Punjab would have been sold to the European stock exchange years ago. While the villagers will line up to buy a bottle of their quota on the recommendation of a Member Provincial Assembly or Member of the National Assembly.

  • You will forget the long lines for cheap sugar and ghee at utility stores. These items have an alternative and are not a matter of life or death. But after air, water is the second utmost need for life. Living creatures cannot survive for long, without water.

  • Shortly after the dowry, the bride and groom will ask for one month's worth of water. Advance-booked drinking water files will be available from the land mafia.

  • Will the Mafia play the role of water dealers? The IMF will impose conditions to increase the price of water every month.

  • In the future, 'Water banks' will replace the state bank and serve as the pivotal bank of the country.

  • This situation is not far off, in two or three years, you will see the effects being faced.

What are others doing

Two decades earlier, the sensible countries at the global level had already started their planning, preparation and actions to tackle the forthcoming situation.

Fifteen years ago, the Norwegian Department of Electricity had already started doing hard work in planning and adopting measures seriously to improve the situation. They are gradually moving toward covering the situation.

The Malaysian Irrigation Department had already made all sources of water available to the public to make a timely decision. All old records of past rain were available for free.

Getting an old record of rainwater from our meteorological department is not an easy task.

Our current approach to water is not appropriate. It can force us to do the most displeasing things in the future. At present major parts of the world are facing an acute shortage of water.

Before 2030 two-thirds of the world's population will face a serious shortage of water. The forthcoming scenario will be very horrible.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN - WATER SCARCITY BECOMING HORRIBLE IN PAKISTAN

For example, if we are similarly unaware of the need for clean water, then in the future it will be very important for people to fetch water from rivers or ponds for miles on foot, on animals or on vehicles.

Females spend an estimated 200 million hours carrying water every day. So each member of the house will have to work full-time.

There will be water rationing and the exploiting class will occupy it.

At present, we waste water in two or three days so carelessly, negligently and incautiously that in future we will be forced to use the same quantity in one month. Water in bulk, in jugs and bottles, will be impossible to fetch.

Tayammum will be the only option for ablution and bath.
Washing cars, houses and floors will be stopped.
The ablution rooms in the mosques will be closed and ablution will have to be arranged from home which will often be with a shower.

Tissues will be used instead of water for purification in washrooms.

Extensive arrangements for rainwater storage will be done. Rainwater will be scarce on the streets.
People will steal rainwater from each other's roofs and houses.

In such a situation, where will the economy of a country be or what will happen to national sovereignty?
Water management is very unsatisfactory and not up to the mark.

Our Agriculture drinks at least 90% of our water, half of which is pumped from the ground.

Every day, children under the age of five die from diarrhea due to poor water and sanitation.
90% of all-natural disasters are water-related.
We will not bathe for months.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN

1. We should adopt a level of micro-management for every plant in the agriculture field.

2. With the help of modern technology and inventions, the water lost through the current method of flood irrigation can be saved. All the efforts made so far in this regard have failed miserably.

3. Most of our farmers are resourceless and illiterate and have difficulty operating and repairing the system.

4. No planning to ease spare parts availability is considered.

5. No drilling/pumping of groundwater should be allowed. It should be totally banned.

6. The state should take strict action to control it.

7. The yield per acre should be increased by planting good breed crops.

8. The population should be controlled.

9. At all levels—homes, offices, and cities—water used should be saved.

10. Washing vehicles and cars with pipes in homes or at service stations should be stopped.

11. Avoid washing house floors with pipes.

12. The blue water from houses should be poured into plants.

13. Ablution water should be recycled.

14. All possible measures should be taken to store rainwater in homes, fields, and deserts.

15. Also, prevent stored water from being absorbed into the soil or drying out.

16. Water scarcity as a compulsory subject should be taught in our schools, colleges, madrassas and universities.

17. Lectures should be arranged at all levels to highlight the importance of water and its prevention.

18. The role of women, in this regard, is the most important because they can take control of the water management of the house. They can also train water-friendly children from an early age.

The escalating water scarcity in Pakistan has reached a harrowing level. It poses a threat to the country's socio-economic fabric and ecological balance.

The crisis has intensified due to a combination of factors. That includes population growth, climate change, mismanagement, and inefficient infrastructure.

Urgent and comprehensive measures are needed to address this issue. Must ensure the availability of clean and accessible water for all.

Collaborative efforts among the government, communities, and International organizations are essential to implementing sustainable solutions.

Water conservation, infrastructure development, and improved management practices should be adopted.

By acknowledging the gravity of the situation and taking decisive action, Pakistan can pave the way towards a more water-secure future. Then Pakistan will be able to protect the well-being of its citizens. For more informations:"Water Scarcity The trumpet of high alert has sounded."

CONCLUSION

Everyone should keep in mind that water is next to air for survival. No living creature can survive on the earth without water. We, the humans for whom this beautiful planet was created by God, need water to live.

We have to take care of freshwater and preserve it for our nation and the future of our beloved country,Pakistan, because "water scarcity is becoming horrible in Pakistan."

The Pakistani government needs to take immediate steps to overcome the water crisis. All leaders and stakeholders need to take responsibility for this challenge and stand up firmly to tackle it. Only blaming previous governments, or India, is not the solution to this crisis or any other problem facing Pakistan.

By adopting/doing the above-mentioned measures, we can save them, water, the country, the nation and the nation's future. DON'T FORGET ALLAH IS THERE. Long live Pakistan. Ameen.
